I'm finally getting close to finishing up my oil paint. Next week I plan on completing the palm tree and any finishing touches.

 

This is a piece from the UMD art gallery I attended back in March at the Tweed Museum of Art. I found this collage of fish scultures very intriguing and it captured my eyes. I really like how the artist make the sculpture half fish, half human with the legs. It gives the piece a unique part and enjoyable to look at and examine.

I've finally started to paint in the palm tree. It's been taking a lot of time because I have to be so precise, but I'm liking the way its turning out.

Finally finished the sunset background and I'm starting on the beach and palm tree. It has been taking me way longer than expected.

I've really been working hard on the blending and layering of the sunset. Going from the peach color to purple has been a hard transition.

This is my oil painting. I've really been working on blending the sunset together and getting lots of layers of paint on the top of my canvas.

This is my progress of the blocking in the main colors of my beach sunset. Next im going to work on the fine details and add the palm tree.

I just started to paint my canvas of a beach sunset. I'm started with the water and going to work my way up the picture.

This is my sketch of my beach sunset oil paint. I did the sketch and did the wood frame for my oil paint.

 I finished up all the small little details in my giraffe drawing and I'm now completely finished with it.

This is almost the finished copy of my giraffe colored pencil drawing. I still have little details to fix and finish but otherwise it's mostly complete.

I've started my background now for my giraffe colored pencil drawing. The tree takes lots of time since I have to color it branch by branch.

My giraffe progress for the week of 2/16/12. I finished the spots and colored the space between the spots. Now I'm onto the background.

This is the progress on my colored pencil giraffe drawing on 2/9/10. I have to finish the spots on the giraffe then I'll color in the white space and move onto the background.

This my progress for my colored pencil giraffe drawing on 2/1/12. I'm not sure of what to do for the background yet, I'm still in decision making process.
